Contribute to Amplify’s Urban Resilience Challenge to help urban slum communities become more resilient to the effects of climate change.

Amplify is a global network of problem solvers tackling some of international development’s biggest challenges. The Urban Resilience Challenge is focused on finding solutions that enable communities in urban slums to adapt, transform and thrive as they meet the challenges presented by climate change.

We would like to encourage members of the Association of African Planning Schools to contribute insights and ideas to the Challenge.

At the end of the challenge Amplify will award a total of up to $800,000 in funding and human-centered design support to bring up to eight winning ideas to life, as part of a partnership between IDEO.org, OpenIDEO, the UK Department for International Development and the Global Resilience Partnership (The Rockefeller Foundation, USAID and SIDA).

For more information, please visit the Amplify website or contact amplify@ideo.org.
