Researcher/Senior Researcher positions in urban spatial change: Wits University

The University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa) has advertised Researcher/Senior Researcher positions to work on the theme of urban spatial change.

The Researchers/Senior Researchers will work with the South African Research Chair in Spatial Analysis and City Planning undertaking direct research and project management on specific projects under the general theme of urban spatial change. The positions require academic background and experience in a field which may include urban studies, urban planning, development planning, architecture, urban sociology or urban politics. The research projects may cover a diversity of themes and study areas but will include investigations into the impacts and consequences of large scale urban development projects as well as questions of local government policies of densification and land use change such as Johannesburg’s Corridors of Freedom.

These are contract positions are for either 1 or 2 years.
