Post-doctoral positions in human settlement available at MUT, South Africa

Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions funded by the South African Department of Human Settlements, and linked to the new NRF Research Chair in Human Settlement at Mangosuthu University of Technology (Durban, South Africa).

The two candidates should possess good research knowledge of the housing industry. They will be required to join the Research Chair in Human Settlement and build capacity in research and innovation within multi-, inter- and trans-disciplinary areas of human settlement. 

The value of each fellowship is R300,000.

The duration of each fellowship is one year. It may be renewed subject to proven productivity and the availability of funds.

The closing date for applications is 21 September 2017.

The letter of application must be accompanied by:

  • The title and abstract of your doctoral thesis
  • A certified copy of your doctoral degree certificate
  • A copy of your identity document
  • A comprehensive curriculum vitae including list of publications
  • The names and contact details of at least two referees
