New call for DAAD doctoral scholarships tenable at Ardhi University

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), in collaboration with Ardhi University, are pleased to announce that up to five PhD scholarships are available for researchers working in the areas of land, environment and human settlements.

PhD studies supported by a scholarship should focus on the theme ‘Governance and Planning for Resilient Cities in sub-Sahara Africa’. They should address problems and possible solutions for African cities to better cope with current and future challenges related to climate change and continuing rapid urbanization in the region.

Successful applicants, if they wish and fulfil certain criteria, will be offered the opportunity to enrol in the joint PhD programme offered by TU Dortmund University (Germany) and Ardhi University (Tanzania), which leads to a joint degree.

The PhD scholarships will be awarded for a maximum of three years of study.
