The geographic profile of AAPS continues to expand, as we warmly welcome another Sudanese planning school to the network. The joining of Omdurman Islamic University (OIU) follows that of the University of Khartoum in May this year.
It is becoming increasingly clear that the AAPS workshops and conferences are fantastic platforms not only for the sharing of planning knowledge within and beyond Africa, but also to promote institutional networking. A number of schools such as OIU have become aware of the Association via their interest in the AAPS October 2010 conference to be held in Tanzania.
We thoroughly look forward to the contributions from staff and students in Omdurman. The school offers an undergraduate degree in planning and does not yet have a postgraduate programme.
