Tanzanian rural planning school joins AAPS

The Association of African Planning Schools welcomes another Tanzanian planning school to the network, taking the total AAPS membership to 40 schools.

The Institute for Rural Development Planning (IRDP), located in Dodoma, Tanzania, offers a range of undergraduate degrees and postgraduate diplomas. These include bachelor degrees in regional development planning, development finance and investment planning, environmental planning and management, and population and development planning. The Institute counts over 1,800 undergraduate students. Postgraduate diplomas are awarded in regional planning and environmental planning (50 students are currently registered).
