We are delighted to announce that, as a result of AAPS Chair Professor Vanessa Watson’s recent trip to the Global Planning Education Association Network (GPEAN) committee meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland, AAPS can welcome another Francophone member. This is the Institut National d’Aménagement et d’Urbanisme (INAU) located in Rabat, Morocco.
Prof Watson met with the Head of INAU, Pr. Dr. Abdelaziz Adidi, in Lausanne, where several other Francophone schools also expressed interest in joining AAPS. We hope to encourage this link with our Francophone colleagues from all parts of Africa.
INAU offers two postgraduate degrees: a ‘Mastère aménagement et urbanisme’, as well as a PhD programme in ‘Urbanisme et gouvernance urbaine’. More details can be viewed on the INAU page HERE.
