On 11th July 2012, the University of Nairobi’s School of the Built Environment, in collaboration with its partners, organized a regional conference to explore approaches and share lessons on sustainable up-scaling of informal settlements upgrading in East Africa.
Held in Nairobi, the conference was attended by over 100 participants representing government and municipal institutions, universities, civil society and local communities drawn from Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania.
