Following the conclusion of the third AAPS all-schools meeting, held in Nairobi from 16 to 18 October 2012, the position of chair of the AAPS Steering Committee is now held by Prof Babatunde Agbola (University of Ibadan). Prof Agbola replaces Prof Vanessa Watson (University of Cape Town), who fulfilled this position with great committment and leadership from 2010 to 2012.
Unfortunately, due to inescapable committments, Prof Agbola could not attend the Nairobi meeting. As such, his welcome address as the new Steering Committee chair is available for download by CLICKING HERE.
The AAPS Secretariat would like to offer its thanks and congratulations to Prof Agbola on his assumption of this position. His integrity and committment as a leader will no doubt lead AAPS to bigger and better things over the next two years. Furthermore, great thanks are due to Prof Vanessa Watson, under whose influence and direction AAPS has grown from a handful of institutions to a continent-wide network of over 50 planning schools, with a growing international reputation.
