The single largest pan-African open data portal is now open, allowing users the chance to access and visualize African data simply, intuitively and free of charge.
The SmartGov Africa project was launched in June 2015 by SmartGov Technologies Ltd, the Cambridge (UK) based data lab.
SmartGov Africa is now the largest single pan-African open data portal, with 1.2 million datapoints already available across 54 African countries.
SmartGov Africa was designed to aggregate, geo-reference and discuss all African public data. The platform is open for anyone to use.
