The 16th N-AERUS conference will take place from 19 to 21 November 2015 in Dortmund (Germany) and will be jointly organized by N-AERUS, the Habitat Unit at the Technical University of Berlin and the Department of International Planning Studies at the TU Dortmund University.
N-AERUS is a pluridisciplinary network of researchers and experts working on urban issues in developing countries. It was created in March 1996 by a group of European researchers. Its objective is to mobilise and develop European institutional and individual research and training capacities on urban issues in the South with the support of institutions and individual researchers with relevant experience in this field. N-AERUS works in association with researchers and institutions in developing countries.
The conference theme is ‘WHO WINS AND WHO LOSES? – Exploring and learning from transformations and actors in the cities of the South’.
Registration is open until 25 October 2015. Please refer to the conference information sheet and the draft programme, available through the conference website.
The submission deadline for the papers of selected abstracts is 15 October 2015. A paper template to be used for the compilation of your paper is provided. Figures should be in black and white. The papers will be published online at TU Dortmund and N-AERUS website. The publication will receive a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) with a persistent identifier number like articles in peer reviewed journals. The best ten papers will be published in the internationally recognised journal ‘TRIALOG – A Journal for Planning and Building in a Global Context’ (ISSN 0724-6234) in 2016.
Presentations should be no longer than 15 minutes if held in English, and 10 minutes in French or Spanish (due to translation).
