Two African planning articles selected for Dialogues 4

Thursday, 24 November 2011

The two articles chosen by the AAPS editorial board for re-publication in Dialogues in Urban and Regional Planning, volume 4, are:

Kamete, A. (2009). ‘Hanging out with “Trouble-Causers”: Planning and Governance in Urban Zimbabwe’, Planning Theory and Practice, 10(1), pp. 85-103.

Winkler, T. (2009). ‘For the Equitable City Yet to Come’, Planning Theory and Practice, 10(1), pp. 65-83.

Six journal articles on planning in Africa were submitted and considered by an AAPS editorial board of 9 members. These two chosen articles were then considered alongside contributions from the other 8 member associations making up GPEAN. The fact that we again have two articles in a Dialogues volume is an indication of the growing level of African planning scholarship. Congratulations to the two authors.
